Australian MP breaks internet for breastfeeding baby while moving motion

A Member of Parliament in Australian has become an online sensation for breastfeeding her three-and-half-month old baby while moving a motion in parliament.

Senator Larissa Waters, a Greens MP from Queensland, has attracted both admiration and criticism for breastfeeding her daughter Alia Joy while passing a motion in parliament.

She later jokingly wrote on Twitter that her daughter “moved her own motion” before she could move hers!

“First time I’ve had to move a Senate motion while breastfeeding! And my partner in crime moved her own motion just before mine, bless her,” she tweeted.

TROLLED

However, this is not the first time Ms Waters has done so in Parliament. The senator made headlines in May when she became the first woman to breastfeed in Australia’s Senate.

And while the MP’s action was applauded bin some quarters, there are those who were not as impressed.

According to media reports, Ms Waters has been viciously trolled and even received an anonymous message from an angry troll who called her unprintable names.
