Bahati honours terminally ill girl’s wish

Gospel artist Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati on Thursday honoured the wish of a terminally ill 12-year-old and visited her at the hospital.

The girl’s mother had written an emotional ‘Barua’ to the hit maker on his Facebook page desperately calling for the gospel sensation to make the cancer patient’s wish come true by visiting and praying for her.

The single leg amputee standard six pupil who has been at the Kenyatta National Hospital since January this year had hoped to become an artist and dancer when she grows up and the doctor’s message that her cancer was in its final stage prompted her to ask her mother to make the passionate appeal.

In her request, the mother told Bahati that the ailing girl had been looking up to him for mentorship once she is ready to become an artist but now needed his prayers.

ADOPTED CHILDREN

Bahati honoured the request and proceeded to the hospital barely a week after the message was posted on his page.

On Thursday, he shared photos of an elated girl armed with her crutches posing for photos with him at the hospital.

She was visibly elated to have met her all-time hero and mentor and she donned an outfit from Bahati’s fashion-line with a matching fancy cap.

The girl even managed to pull a smile despite her pain and agony as she did the popular peace sign while posing for photos with the artist.

The Barua hit maker has a soft-spot for children having grown up at a children’s home after his mother passed on.

He has even adopted three children who are under the care of the same ABC Children’s Home, Kariobangi that raised him.
