Kenyan singer Bahati has been unveiled as the Brand Ambassador of Hava Limited, a technology-driven transportation solutions provider that offers online ride-hailing and delivery services in Kenya.

During the ceremony on Monday in Nairobi, the company said that a bright future is upon Kenya’s economy as the government, the corporate community and citizens have collectively come together to contain the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic challenge in an exemplary way.

Hava said that they strive to balance both sides of the transportation equation – offering drivers a way to earn money and providing customers with access to an affordable transportation service.

On his part, Bahati (real name Kevin Kioko) said the partnership is a great opportunity for him as a brand at a time the country is recovering from the pandemic.

“What convinced me to work with Hava is their dedication and support for the young people in our community. I first heard about Hava when they sponsored a local art show showcasing rising young talent. I immediately knew this is a company worth my time and respect,” Bahati said.

“With this partnership, I believe we will spread the vision of Hava, of which I also share, to the entire East African community,” he added.

Hava came into the market amid the Covid-19 pandemic promising to give drivers a sustainable business model by introducing many unique features and within just six months has already made an impact in the Kenyan online taxi-hailing industry.

“As a new share riding provider, Hava Cabs Kenya launched its service during the peak of the pandemic, steadily growing month over month by being flexible and adapting to an adversely fast-changing economy,” the company said.

Hava Cabs Kenya has since successfully launched corporate services, obtained curfew letters to provide transport for essential service providers during lockdowns, by incentivizing its drivers to serve the community better with increased commissions and earnings.

Available in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret and other towns, Hava is among one of the most convenient, affordable and reliable ride-hailing apps in Kenya.

Hava has positioned itself as a local firm that appreciates and supports local talent as well as the culture through sponsoring and partnering with Kenyan artistes and events, which embodies the company’s tagline ‘Made in Kenya, by Kenyans, for Kenyans.’

“Our drivers are at least 21 years of age, have a smartphone, with a courteous and a friendly persona. Their vehicles are in superb condition, clean and well maintained in addition to being fully certified and licensed,” the company said.
