Big Pin: I didn’t collapse because of heart attack

Kenyan rapper Big Pin has denied claims that he suffered a heart attack during a meeting that led to his hospitalization for three days.

Big Pin was last week rushed to Aga Khan Hospital after suddenly collapsing while in a meeting at Hallmark offices, Nairobi.

“He was having a board meeting in Hallmark. Then he collapsed and was taken to Aga Khan. From there he was put on an ambulance and taken to the Aga Khan hospital. It runs in the family. It is genetic.” his brother identified as Phillip was quoted by media reports.

However after being discharged, the 34 year-old rapper attributed his collapse to fatigue.

“I was in the boardroom dealing with work reports and projects when I felt dizzy and collapsed. I was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital in Westlands and they referred me to the main hospital on Third Parklands Avenue.

“After some tests, I was told I have angina (chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart) which can lead to heart attack. I was admitted for three days and discharged with an order for a week’s bed rest,” Big Pin said.

During his heydays, Big Pin was nicknamed King of Collabos having worked with Amani, Patonee, the late K- Rupt, E- Sir, Nameless, Collo, Kleptomaniax, Habib and Sanaipei Tande.
