Bitter Mwaura attacks Raila again and Facebook erupts
Nominated MP Isaac Mwaura on Sunday attacked his former party leader on Facebook, accusing him of attempting to remove him from the list of nominees in the run up to the 2013 election.
Mr Mwaura, who was nominated on an ODM ticket before decamping in 2016 to vie in Ruiru on a Jubilee ticket, said ODM leader Raila Odinga wanted him struck off the list.
WELL DESERVED
“My nomination to Parliament was well deserved, and even when Raila wanted me removed from the party list, Anyang Nyongo, Janet Ongera, Jakoyo Midiwo and Henry Kosgey are the ones I could credit for defending me,” claimed Mwaura.
He went to accuse the opposition leader of not having the interest of youth leaders at heart.
SHOWN THE DOOR
“Raila only believes in using the youth, not empowering them. When you are seen to be too intelligent and independent minded, you are shown the door just like they removed us from the party register and all the parliamentary committees,” he wrote.
But Mr Mwaura’s sentiments elicited mixed reactions online with Facebook users accusing him of hypocrisy.
