Police in Kericho County are currently investigating an incident in which a driver and his conductor abandoned a bus full of passengers in the middle of the road. The incident took place on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

According to a police report seen by Nairobi News, one of the passengers, Ms Lucy Waithera, reported the incident to the police attached to the Ainamoi Police Station. She detailed that they had boarded a Scania Bus with registration number KCF876V belonging to T.C.B Sacco from Busia to Nairobi at around 2 pm.

As the bus reached the Sitowet Area, the driver abruptly stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road and both the driver and the tout disappeared, leaving the passengers stranded. The passengers were forced to sleep inside the bus until the following day when they reported the incident to the police.
