Blogger enraged by loss of 400,000 Twitter followers

A popular Kenyan blogger has responded in shock after watching his Twitter followers whittle down from nearly half a million to just over 13,000.

Cyprian Nyakundi, whose Twitter handle is @C_NyaKundiH, now has 13,400 followers from a staggering 486,596.

“There is a problem with my Twitter Account. I urge my followers to be patient. In a few hours everything will be ok…” tweeted the controversial blogger.

He then sent a protest note to Twitter but the social media giant is yet to respond.

“Hi @Support My 486,596 Followers Just disappeared. What is happening? From Half a Million to Just 13,000 …Hell No !!”” tweeted the blogger.

Nyakundi alleged racial bias in another tweet. “Twitter doesn’t want to respond to my query Two days after I reported an issue with my Account . Sema Racial discrimination,” read the tweet.

In December 2014, Instagram’s crack down on spam accounts and bots cost RnB musician Justin Bieber a whopping 3.5 million followers, while hip hop star Akon lost almost 56 per cent of his followers.
