Boda boda mechanic from Kisumu bags Sh2.4million in Odibets win

February 13th, 2020 1 min read

Leonard Onyango from Kisumu County is Odibet’s first big winner of 2020 after taking home a whopping Ksh 2,401,000 from online betting platform Odibets.

Onyango had placed four back to back soccer bets on the fast growing betting website.

The 30-year-old boda boda mechanic’s bet win has an interesting twist to it.

“Leonard’s bet slip is one of the most interesting we have seen this year,” noted Daniel Macharia, Odibets’ head of bookmaking.

“In the four wins, Leonard had seven winning draw bets and it paid off handsomely. He predicted among others, Juve’s draw at Atalanta on Sunday which is quite a feat,” Machari concluded while congratulating the lucky winner.

Onyango was ecstatic on receiving his cash prize at his home in Kisumu from the Odi Mtaani team, which distributes uniforms and soccer balls to the County soccer leagues sponsored by the Odibets.com.

“I will use this money to endeleza my biashara – as well as take care of my family,” the mechanic said.

He had a piece of advice for those who have been betting but are yet to win:

“If they haven’t won such an amount before, they shouldn’t give up! Tomorrow could be the day you win big like me.”

“We hope that you enjoy your winnings,” said Odibets country marketing manager, Aggrey Sayi, after handing over the cheque to the winner in Kisumu.
