Boniface Mwangi to give up Pawa 254 role and focus on political ambition
Human rights activist Boniface Mwangi has announced that he will soon relinquish his role at Pawa 254 to focus on his political ambition.
He took to social media on Friday to announce that he will give up the team leader role in January 2017.
“I am currently serving my notice at Pawa254, January will be my last month as team leader. I am confident that the succeeding leadership team will continue with the good work, and take Pawa254 to new heights,” Mwangi wrote in a Facebook post.
Mr Mwangi founded the organisation six years ago after an illustrious career as a photojournalist.
The father of three had announced in November that he will be vying for the Starehe parliamentary seat in the 2017 general election.
Mr Mwangi, in his post on Friday, was nostalgic about his time at Pawa254 and announced that his last public event as team leader will be at the Pawa Festival on Sunday, December 18 to be held on Koinange Street.
