Boniface Mwangi roasted for shaming couple who needed his help
Former aspirant for Starehe parliamentary seat, Boniface Mwangi, has become the subject of online bashing for shaming a couple who asked for his help.
The unnamed couple sent a private request to the activist asking for help towards a wedding ceremony.
Instead of responding privately to the request, Mr Mwangi shared it social media even as he lectured the sender against spending too much money on an expensive wedding.
Don’t waste too much money on an expensive wedding unless you can fund it. Spend cash on your honeymoon and the new house you’re moving to. pic.twitter.com/pYURHS5dpI

However, netizens were quick to reprimand Boniface, noting that he had asked for contributions from wananchi to fund his campaign during the 2017 general elections.

Now imagine we publicly responded like that to your messages requesting support for your campaign?! Wouldn’t you have advised them kando?

You requested for money on campaign bro. In light of the situation making it public is a rogue act. Campaign for a seat that is inexpensive

Someone request you to help him/her in private,,,,you refuse to help them; instead you expose their problem to the public. You have failed
