British holidaymakers choose Kenya as their top holiday destination
Kenya has been ranked as the top most preferred destination for UK holidaymakers in Africa according to The Telegraph Travel Awards.
In the annual survey, Kenya emerged at position 7 among other nations with great sceneries and leading national parks.
The survey results may be beneficial to Kenya’s tourism industry just months after the UK Post Office Holiday Costs Barometer ranked Mombasa as the fourth most preferred destination for British holidaymakers after it moved up from the seventh position last year.

The survey is done each year, giving citizens of the UK the chance to vote for their most beloved holiday destinations across the globe.
Maasai Mara Game Reserve, with its abundance of wildlife and warm hospitality, was listed as one the world’s finest destinations.
According to the survey, British citizens show a keen interest in wildlife-based holidays, with the wildebeest migration from southern Serengeti to the Maasai Mara garnering considerable attention.
Additionally, Kenya’s Indian Ocean coastline also helped to improve its ranking. Kenyan beaches with fine sand and tranquil, top-notch resorts have become a major draw for British vacationers.

The direct flights from London to Nairobi have also made it easier for people from the UK to visit Kenya.
The report comes at a time demand for international holiday travels is returning to pre-Covid levels, with travel agents and airlines reporting a sure in booking.
Kenya Tourism Board data shows slightly more than a third of the 1.3 million international tourists who visited Kenya in the 11 months to November came for holidays, while the rest came for business conferences and visiting friends.
