Burna Boy to treat fans to a free show


There are many things to celebrate especially if you are Burna Boy, the Nigerian Afro Beat whose music career star continues to shine at the global stages.
Among many reasons that Burna credits for his music success is his fourth studio album released in July 2019 the ‘African Giant’ that paved way for his international breakthrough. It’s the album, that launched Burna onto the global platform when it earned him a Grammy nomination thus opening channels for him to penetrate Europe’s world stages where he has been performing in sold-out venues and cashing in millions of dollars in performance fees.

To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the album, Burna has teamed up with YouTube Music Nights for a ‘free’ live performance on Friday, as a show of a thank you note to his millions of fans worldwide who have followed his journey.

The show will be livestreamed exclusively on Burna Boy’s YouTube channel, allowing fans worldwide to join the celebration.
‘African Giant’ album is supported by eight singles including ‘On the Low’ which won the Viewer’s Choice Awards at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festivals.
The album received generally favorable reviews from music critics worldwide, with many terming it as ‘cohesive’ and praising Burna for not diluting his Afrobeat sound despite its several foreign collaborations.
