Buruburu bar owner who shot wife slapped with more charges

A bar owner on trial for the murder of his wife in Buruburu estate has been charged afresh with multiple offences  of illegal gun ownership.

Mr Erastus Odhiambo alias Ediot, who is accused of fatally shooting his lawyer wife Linda Wanjiku, forged a gun licence, the prosecution claimed on Friday.

The prosecution also said that the gun that killed Ms Wanjiku was in his possession illegally.

Mr Odhiambo was denied bond till November 16 when a ruling on the same will be made in the murder case.

The new offences relate to the forgery of a gun licence and possession of a an illegal firearm.

He also faces a charge of presenting a falsified document (the gun certificate) to a senior police officer.

Mr Odhiambo accused of killing his wife on the night of December 11 last year at Buruburu estate in Nairobi.
