Buruburu house help abducts child, demands ransom

Police are looking for a house help who abducted her employer’s child last week in Buruburu and brazenly demanded for a Sh 150, 000 ransom a day later.

The child’s parents, Mr Oliver and Roseline Koskei, are horrified not  knowing what would befall their two-and-a-half year old child should they fail to pay the ransom.

BUREAU

The house help, Rebecca Omoya, had worked in their house for only four days after they had sourced her from a bureau in Buruburu shopping centre.

On Thursday last week , the care provider they had  entrusted with their two children turned into their tormentor-in-chief.

The house help over-dosed their eight-month old toddler with a sedative drug and left her sleeping in the bedroom.

She then dressed up the older child, Kimberly Koskei, and left with her to an unknown destination.

UPKEEP

Later in the evening, the house help called the couple to demand for Sh 15,ooo as upkeep for the child.

A day later, the house help called again to demand for a Sh 150,000 ransom.

Buruburu DCIO Henry Kiambati said the telephone number used to demand for the ransom was traced in Eldoret.

Investigations are ongoing.
