Cancer patient who melted hearts succumbs after four-year battle
A terminally ill 23-year-old who was diagnosed with Osteogenic sarcoma (cancer of the bone) has passed on.
Abdiaziz Aden, a resident of Korogocho, died on Monday morning and was set for burial at the Langata Muslim cemetery.
Mr Aden had traveled to India last month to seek medical treatment for cancer but doctors said his condition could not be treated.
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko paid tribute to the deceased in an emotional eulogy on Instagram.

Mr Aden’s problems began four years ago when he fell and hurt his knee while trying to board a matatu.
The wound on his leg was not treated properly and the leg was later amputated after doctors at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH). During the amputation, doctors found that he had bone cancer.
A few months later, he learnt that the cancer had spread to the rest of his body.
