A car in Deputy President William Ruto’s entourage was involved in a road accident in Bungoma county along the Mateka- Kanduyi road.
The chase car belonging to Bungoma County government had on Monday gone ahead of the entourage to clear the road when it hit a boda boda rider and landed in a ditch.
The injured rider was rushed to Bungoma County referral hospital.
The 4pm caused a heavy traffic snarl-up along the busy highway.
The Deputy President was on a tour of Bungoma County to mobilize voters on the ongoing voter listing exercise.
