Could President William Ruto be the owner of a coveted pair of Cartier sunglasses?

Well, President Ruto was photographed wearing expensive-looking glasses at the Salvation Army’s 100th-anniversary celebrations held at Ulinzi Stadium in Nairobi’s Lang’ata Constituency on 4 March 2024.

During the event, he pledged Sh50 million to help The Salvation Army fund its projects.

The Commander-in-Chief wore the sunglasses with a baby blue Kaunda suit ensemble.

Cartier is a world-renowned French luxury goods brand that produces high-end jewellery, watches, fragrances, bags and accessories.

Cartier sunglasses from the Classic C De Cartier Motif collection are priced at approximately Sh186,300.
According to Cartier’s official website, the glasses are the rectangular Cartier Decor C Metal with a platinum/gradient grey finish.

According to the website, the rectangular design and platinum frame add a touch of luxury to your eyewear. The grey gradient lenses protect your eyes while adding a touch of sophistication to your look.

When ordering Classic C De Cartier sunglasses, a customer is advised by Cartier that “the carat weight, number of stones and product dimensions will vary depending on the size of the creation ordered”.

The nearest Cartier stores outside Kenya are in South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Turkey. The rest are mainly in America and Europe.
