Everybody loves a phone that has a long-lifespan battery. It’s really inconvenient to be on vacation and then all of a sudden you get a battery-low warning. This could just ruin all your plans.

A battery that easily dies off might also make you miss out some very important information or news update.

So here is why you should apply ‘good’ phone charging habits:

Avoid using your smartphone while its charging – Many of us violate this simple rule. Your phone needs ‘space’ as it charges. As your phone charges, it emits heat and using it at the same time could make it overheat.

Don’t leave your smartphone plugged-in for long periods at 100 per cent full – How advisable is it to charge your phone the whole night? Well, living your phone plugged-in for very long periods could just cause more harm than good to your battery. As a rule of thumb, always unplug immediately your phone gets 100 per cent full.

Protect your smartphone from heat – Avoid exposing your phone to excess heat. When you are in the sun, ensure that you are keeping your phone safe. Don’t keep the smartphone in the sun for too long and don’t cover it while it’s charging.

Don’t wait for the phone to die off to charge it – Many people wait until their phones completely die off before plugging in, which is actually harmful to the phone battery. Simply charge your phone when necessary.
