Picture First Lady Margaret Kenyatta rapping for a worthy cause – not rap talking, but rap music. America’s First Lady Michelle Obama has taken the internet by storm after being featured in a rap video released on Thursday.

In the two minute video, that is aimed at encouraging high school graduates to go to college, the First Lady, clad in a wrap dress and shades, teams up with Saturday Night Live cast member Jay Pharaoh.

“We had to do overtime every night to make it tomorrow and everyone can really make their dream true. Hey, kid listening in Michigan, that could be you,” she raps.

In other scenes in the video, Pharaoh, who has in the past impersonated President Barack Obama on Saturday Night Live, is seen hanging out with high school graduates while rapping the importance of going to college.

“If you wanna fight crime, you should go to college/If you wanna write rhymes fill your head with knowledge/If you wanna stare at grass don’t go to college/but for everything else you should go to college,” Mrs Obama expertly raps alongside Pharoah.

Some of the scenes are shot in the backdrop of the White House while others are on neatly manicured lawns.
