Chill out, I still have time – Nicah the Queen defends her age after breakup
Gospel artist Nicah The Queen has affirmed to her followers that she still has ample time to find the right partner, and revealed her birth year to emphasize her point.
In a post on Instagram shortly after stating that she had amicably broken up with her fiancé DJ Slahver, Nicah-born Veronica Wanja responded to fans concerned about her age and prospects of finding a suitable partner following two unsuccessful relationships.
“Kwani how old do you guys think I am? I’m 28 turning 29 in Dec….so chill I still have time to settle! I gave birth to my firstborn when I was below 20…I was 19 years old when Ofweneke married me and he was 22🙄🙄,” she wrote.
Still, doubting Thomases did not buy it saying they need proof from her Identity Card and not her passport photo. In the initial announcement of parting ways, her fans questioned the announcement saying she wanted to make headlines before releasing a song, The two love birds had only been engaged in May 2023 and their relationship did not withstand the test of time.

She wrote, “After so much consideration…. @slahverdon and I have decided to go our separate ways. Thank you so much for the love you all accorded us! Tunawapenda.”
In September, Dr Ofweneke born Sande Bush revealed that the reason his marriage with Nicah failed was mainly because of the absence of a strong foundation.
“I ignored the foundation. Why relationships don’t work out is because we get into relationships with the idea of changing what attracted us to them in the beginning,” he said.
Then described the moment when he realized that their compatibility was not as he had envisioned. “I remember that day that I left, I remember God was laughing in my ear, this was not the marriage He had planned for me.”
However, on her part, Nicah claimed that their marriage ended because of Dr Ofweneke’s violence.
