Chinese national commits suicide in Nairobi hotel


A Chinese national on Thursday committed suicide in his hotel room in Kilimani area, Nairobi.

The deceased, identified as Zou Xiao Qiang, 36, booked a room at Wuduria Hotel in the afternoon and when the manager of the hotel went to wake him up there was no response.

Police were alerted and proceeded to break the door only to find the occupant dead inside the toilet with the charcoal burner next to the body.

According to the police, the victim left a suicide note written in Chinese saying he had gone to his God.

DECOMPOSING BODY

In another incident, a form two student at JG Kiereini High School committed suicide using a rope to hang himself on the balcony of his grandfather’s property.

According to his grandfather, the 16-year-old student committed suicide at his hotel on Thursday afternoon. No suicide note was found. The deceased’s body was taken to City Mortuary.

Elsewhere a decomposing body of a 30 year old male was on Thursday found by members of the public at Bhimji quarry within Mukuru Kwa Njenga area.

Police suspect the deceased committed suicide by jumping into the deep quarry days earlier. His body was retrieved and taken to City Mortuary awaiting autopsy.
