‘Chips mwitu’ vendor installs electricity at parents home
Ms Beverline Kwamboka, the lady who recently hit news headlines for cooking and selling chips by the roadside has celebrated another feat.
In a post on Twitter, Ms Kwamboka explained her joy in connecting electricity at her parents home and thanked her customers for always supporting her.
“To all my chipo mwitu supporters, we did it. Your small small profits have ensured we connect electricity at my dad’s home.”

Ms Kwamboka, who is a trained teacher, also is a know social media influencer.
She is also remembered for having a tiff with nominated senator Millicent Omanga over a donation the politician claimed to have offered to her in 2021.
Ms Omanga claimed she donated money and accessories including bags of potatoes to Kwamboka so as to improve her business, a claim she denied in a media interview.
