Churchill talks up retirement plans

Popular comedian Daniel Ndambuki has talked up his retirement plans, indicating he would like to exit the stage in a ‘peaceful’ way while still being able to make a significant impact in the society.

In an interview with Mpasho TV, Ndambuki, commonly known in entertainment circles as Churchill,  added that plans were already underway for him to exit the public scene.

“When the time comes, God will lead you in the right direction,” said the media personality at an event where he led the launch of the Churchill Foundation launch.

“When the time comes, you accelerate to your passion. You see the reason as to why there is an accelerating lane is so that you can smoothly join the highway.”

In addition he noted the foundation was aimed at giving opportunities to children attributing the move to Kids Festival, a kid’s show he once hosted.

“Through the Churchill Foundation we are gearing our interests on children because they are the future. We want to create equity, better platforms, networks and a better world for people who can reason together,” he said.

He also announced he would launch his books in 2022 including one detailing his life’s journey and story.

Churchill has built his brand internationally in the past two decades as a comedian, master of ceremony and radio host. He also hosts a popular weekly show on NTV where he interviews guests and celebrities.

He’s also celebrated for nurturing several comedians courtesy of his Churchill stand-up comedy initiative including Eric Omondi and Prof Hamo.

The talk of retirements comes months after his radio co-host Maina Kageni also announced he will retire in 2022 and retreat to the USA.
