Ciara dances up a storm in the streets of Lagos

American singer and dancer Ciara on Tuesday evening posted videos of her street dancing experience while in Lagos, Nigeria.

The talented dancer shared four short videos of her pulling off the complicated Nigerian moves among them the famous Shoki dance.

Ciara, who was in Nigeria for a concert on February 28, stayed in the country for a couple of days where she teamed up with a local choreographer, Kaffi for the street dance.

The Body Party hit maker then consolidated a merger of her dancers with other Nigerian dancers for the Tuesday street performance.

In her posts she said the energy in the West African country could not allow her to leave without attempting street dancing.

“UNREAL!! #Dancing, Vibing, and Learning #Nigerian Dance in the Streets of #Lagos! #DolphinEstates. I Couldn’t Leave Without Doing This! The Soul, the Culture, the Passion Here Is Unreal!! Thank You for Opening up Your Neighborhood to Me and My Dancers and Letting Us Feel Your soul! #Shoki,” Ciara wrote on her Instagram page.

Ciara danced her hips off during the brief performance that attracted onlookers in what seemed to be a cordoned street.

Some of the popular Nigerian songs that she danced to included Duro by Techno, Shakiti Bobo by Olamide and Iyanya’s Kukere.
