City cops arrest Ugandan accused of defrauding Saccos Sh70m
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives on Tuesday afternoon arrested three suspects believed to have defrauded several Kenyan Saccos.
According to the police, Gabantu Patrick Emmanuel, a Ugandan national, together with his two Kenyan counterparts Zahra Ahmed and Abdullazac Rajab defrauded more that Sh70 million from local saccos.
Saccos have fallen casualty include Safaricom Sacco, Bamburi Sacco, Stima Sacco and others which police did not name.
Police also recovered several passports with the suspects.
Officers are yet to reveal the charges to be preferred against the suspects, only confirming that the suspects were arrested for electronic fraud.
