City Hall dismisses Donholm protests as political
Nairobi County government has dismissed Monday’s protests in Donholm as politically motivated.
County Executive for transport Mohammed Abdullahi said the protest was organised by an asipring politician.
Mr Abdullahi said a contractor was on site and the rehabilitation of the road is ongoing.
Protesters blocked roads in Donholm area on Monday morning to protest at the poor state of roads in the area.
The protesters, mostly matatu operators and youths, lit bonfires and blocked the Donholm-Savanna-Jacaranda road with stones.
