#CongratulationsMheshimiwa: Kenyans troll mouthy leaders with cheeky messages


Kenyans of Twitter have launched a campaign aimed at naming and shaming elected leaders who are focused on 2022 succession politics instead of delivering on election pledges.

The campaign is running under the hashtag #CongratulationsMheshimiwa which has been a top trending topic for the better part of the day.

The sarcastic messages congratulate them for “delivering” on a list of pledges while in fact, they have not.

The supposedly delivered pledges are roads constructed, potholes fixed, stable water supply, security, Constituency Development Fund projects and bursaries.

The campaign targets mainly Jubilee elected leaders who have been campaigning for Deputy President William Ruto to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
