Consider male content creators! KOT react after Priscilla Waimani bags deal
Rising to fame in Kenya could be considered the easiest way to attract attention. Coming up with content though is not as easy as ABC but some have proved that creativity can put food on the table.
In the wake of technology and social media, some Kenyans have pocketed some cash thanks to their creative minds. Additionally, others have been able to be employed after being caught on camera doing their thing.
While some people’s fame comes to them unawares, others intentionally make their name grow. The most recent social sensation to rise the ladder is Priscilla wa Imani whose fame came through whistling in public places.

However, Kenyans on Twitter have decried that it is only female content creators who are bagging deals protesting that those who are awarding the deals need to also consider men who are equally doing the same, especially Nduru man.
Ian Asunya, popularly known as Nduru man, became popular for suddenly screaming in public and even took a video outside the then DP’s residence pleading for his help.
It was reported that the content creator was briefly arrested and released.
Below are some of the reactions;

You people need to understand there’s something called “Nyota yako”. Stop comparing Nduru Man to Priscilla Waimani, his time to make it is not yet here, but it’ll definitely get here. Comparison is the thief of joy. Maybe he’ll get bigger & better deals some day

Similarly to Ms Priscilla, Ivy Chelimo, a young lady who came up with the ‘Riggy G’ moniker, was also given a job by the Deputy President.
Chelimo said she came up with the DP’s nickname by chance as she followed the proceedings of the televised deputy presidential debate days before the General Elections.
She would then meet up with the DP, and she landed a job in his office.
On the flip side, Zachariah Kariuki, a 22-year-old Kisii University student who became an online sensation after mimicking DP Gachagua, is yet to be rewarded for his creativity.
Going by the comic moniker ‘Mr KK Mwenyewe’, the Riggy G impersonator has been dressing up in shabby attires, a fake belly, a rugged tie, and baggy trousers in a bid to mimic DP Gachagua’s infamous sense of fashion.
