The Consumer Federation of Kenya (Cofek) wants two five-star hotels in the city centre to remove barriers they have erected at their entrances.
The lobby groups say the barriers at Hilton hotel and Sarova Stanley hotel are blocking public roads.
Cofek secretary general Stephen Mutoro on Thursday led officials to protest outside Hilton hotel.
He told journalists that the barrier built at the entrance of Hilton hotel encroaches on Watalii road which is a public road.
The hotel has turned the road into a parking space for its clients, he said
