Content Creator Victor Peace opens up on ‘early’ marriage, break-up to singer Cece Sagini
Sometime in 2014, Tech savvy Victor Peace Karanja who moonlights as spotted Content creator was attending a Blankets and Wines event.
He then spotted singer Cece Sagini Kemunto and immediately lost his marbles because he was sight stricken by the chanteuse beauty.
He wanted her for himself and vowed to do anything to be with her.
Peace a photographer at the time working for major publications such as Drum magazine, True Love, Healthy Woman, Couture’s as well as brands such as Sony, the set the ball rolling.
He then proposed to her on live television on NTV’s The Trend show in 2015 and in 2017 they walked down the aisle in an exquisite lavish wedding that kept the entertainment blogs and main stream busy.
November 2015 a time when Cece musical career was at its peak, she was invited for an interview on NTV’s The Trend hosted by Larry Madowo.
It was the perfect time to strike and pop up the question. Cece was about to give a live TV performance with a live band when Peace showed up with placards displaying several affectionate messages that left the Cece tongue tied and blushing on camera.
“I have loved you and I will always love you will you marry me?”
The love birds walked down the aisle in an exquisite lavish wedding in Nairobi that kept the entertainment blogs and main stream busy for few days.
Their happily ever after intention was however not realized with the couple announcing the end of their four year marriage in a joint statement on May 2022.
“I think I rushed into marriage, I was young. I married when I was 23 and that’s why when I see guys in the 20 running into marriage I pity them cause it’s not a body of roses as it seems.” Peace opened up to Nairobi News.
But what was the rush for?
“I mean everything was walking out for me. I was making so much money from photography before the market became saturated. I had life going on for me and I thought what else was remaining and because then I always wanted to get married, I went for it. I don’t regret it but I think I rushed it, it’s probably not one of the best decisions I made at the time.” he adds.
Despite going their separate ways, Peace says he and Cece have been able to maintain their friendship and do speak occasionally.
Now at 32, the Technology Manager at PATH says he isn’t not ready to get into marriage just yet.
