August 29th, 2017 1 min read

Bungoma Senator-elect Moses Wetang’ula has protested the sacking of his bodyguard, Simon Lonyang’ by the National Police Service.

Mr Wetang’ula urged police to reinstate him, warning that Nasa would challenge it in court on Wednesday.

Mr Wetang’ula described Mr Lonyang’ as a poor boy from Turkana.

He said the State should now be held responsible for his security.

Lonyang’ was fired on Tuesday a day after he was involved in a scuffle with his seniors outside the Supreme Court.

He had been warned against entering the Supreme Court while armed.
