City dad strangles one year-old daughter to death after dispute with wife
Police in Riruta are holding a man who strangled his one year-old daughter on Saturday night.
The man was arrested after being tracked to Karura forest were he was intending to commit suicide.
According to a police report, the father committed the heinous act after his wife ran away on Tuesday night following a dispute.
The man is said to have called his pastor, after killing his daughter, to inform him what he had done. The paster quickly informed police who went to his house and found the little girl lying dead on her bed. She had bruises on her neck.
The body was taken to City mortuary and the accused will be arraigned in court and charged.
In Buruburu, police shot and killed two thugs who had been on a robbing spree on Monday morning.
The two were in a group of five who were robbing members of the public of their mobile phones and forcing others to send them mpney via M-Pesa.
According to police report, a homemade gun was recovered at the scene. The thugs also had a laptop, several mobile phones and undisclosed amount of money.
The two unidentified bodies were taken to City Mortuary for autopsy and identification.
