David Ndii: Why Nasa will call for mass action – VIDEO

National Super Alliance (Nasa) head of strategy David Ndii on Tuesday said the coalition is well prepared for mass action.

Dr Ndii, in an interview with NTV , said they will resort to civil protests should the Supreme Court fail to consider Nasa’s evidence in the election petition against President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.

He said mass action will “come from a need to seek a free democratic space.”

“We have been calling for mass action since 1992, 1991 actually. We will not stop as long as some people try to restore dictatorship,” said Dr Ndii.

“If change cannot come through the ballot, it will come through the bullet.”

Mr Ndii said Nasa’s decision to move to the Supreme Court was not necessarily to win the case but to show to the world what happened during the electoral process.

“The current situation being witnessed in the country is a clear indication that the current regime has captured both IEBC and the judiciary to put up a system against the will of people through sham elections,” said Dr Ndii.

Kenyans on social media were divided on Dr Ndii’s remarks. Here is what people had to say.
