Diamond blames the media for his ‘beef’ with Ali Kiba

Bongo Flava artiste Diamond Platnumz has faulted the media for driving a wedge between him and fellow Tanzanian crooner Ali Kiba.

Pointing an accusing finger at the Tanzanian media for the fuelling the perceived animosity, Diamond said there is no bad blood between him and Ali Kiba.

“I have no problem with Ali Kiba. I have never quarreled with him. I believe the feeling is mutual and if he an issue with me he would call me to settle the matter,” Diamond said during an interview.

The Waah hit maker also rubbished claims that he removed Ali Kiba’s verse in a song they had planned to collaborate in.

“Frankly, I can do a collabo with any artiste,” he said, adding that he done many collabos in the past.

“I’ve worked with many foreign artistes in the past. How then would I have a problem doing a collabo with a fellow Tanzanian who wants to do such a project with me?” he posed.

He further stated that healthy competition is needed among East African artistes as opposed personal conflicts.

“Unnecessary beef is killing the industry. Challenging people to work is more beneficial,” he said.

Diamond also faulted Tanzanians for failure to support their homegrown talent, adding that is not healthy for an artiste who has released a song to be compared with another one.
