Diamond donates caps after a fan snatches his favorite Sh6k cap
Tanzanian sensation Diamond Platnumz has experienced another security lapse in a rather amusing yet unexpected situation during a recent public appearance in Dodoma.
A video capturing the moment when his signature green baseball cap was snatched by a daring fan has gone viral.
The footage reveals Diamond, surrounded by an entourage of heavy security, making his way through a lively crowd.
Dressed in a sleek black outfit and a matching green cover-up shirt, the ‘Yatapita’ hitmaker sported his iconic Grass HWC Celtics Cap from Mitchell & Ness, completing his distinctive look.
As Diamond navigated through the crowd towards his waiting car, a hand emerged from the throng, swiftly grabbing the coveted cap.
The artist was visibly stunned, making a brief pause to assess the situation before continuing towards his vehicle, disappointment evident on his face at the loss of his possession.

Attempting to identify the culprit, Diamond’s security guard leaped into action, but the elusive cap-snatcher had vanished into the crowd.
Expressing his frustration, Diamond issued instructions to his team, emphasizing the significance of the cap and instructing them to retrieve it.
“Onesmo, the cap must be found because it has many memories. Almost all the outfits I brought today go with this cap. How do I wear it now? Onesmo, I don’t want him to come to the hotel; let him find it on his own,” Diamond conveyed to his team.
Fans were quick to question the value of the cap, with many suggesting that, given Diamond’s financial means, he could easily replace it.
A check revealed that the Grass HWC Celtics Cap from Mitchell & Ness comes with a price tag of Sh6298.56 (Euro 37.95).
Not new to such incidents, Diamond Platnumz has encountered losses of valuables to fans on several occasions during public appearances and shows.

In response to the cap incident, a later video shared on Wasafi TV’s social media page showed Diamond distributing caps to thousands of his fans during a concert.
“People were surprised why I followed up on the cap because when someone steals from you, that shows they do not respect you. I appreciate that you have supported me, but if you want something from me, just ask, and I will give you.”
Acknowledging the need for heightened security measures, Diamond concluded:
“My bodyguards had not reached, and now I am forced to be walking with my security,” as he initiated the cap giveaway to his devoted fans.

In a video that went viral on Instagram, Diamond, who had a pair of sunglasses, pieces of jewellery, an orange beanie hat that matched his shirt, and a green pair of shorts, was seen being pushed in the midst of a huge crowd.
Some people in the crowd then grabbed his beanie hat and sunglasses and attempted to steal his chain, too.
Diamond, however, made it to the stage while still holding the mic and belting a tune.
