DK Kwenye Beat mocked by KOT for his new ‘fake’ American accent
Gospel musician David Kilonzo, popularly known as DK Kwenye Beat, shocked his Kenyan fans with a newly acquired American accent and gold teeth while appearing on NTV’s The Trend show on Friday.
He was on the show to promote his new song ‘Baba Yao’.
The ‘Furifuri‘ hit maker defended his accent, saying that he was just from the states.
He added that it did not matter how long he had spent in America.
He also advised gospel artistes to stop confusing Kenyans by producing songs that are for showbiz and not songs that serve the lord.
“You have to realize your calling. If you want to win souls, then do it. If you want to get into showbiz, then do it. But don’t do the latter and say you are serving the lord, because we have a jealous God who does not share glory,” says DK Kwenye Beat.
Twitter was ungovernable as they mocked the singer for his accent and new look.
