‘Don’t stop praying for me,’ Betty Kyalo’s BFF says about 2022 misfortunes

By Winnie Mabel December 30th, 2022 2 min read

Aeedah Bambi, the best friend to media personality Betty Kyalo, took to social media to host a question and answer session on Instagram on December 29, 2022, where she intimated she had undergone a tragedy.

“Just before the year ends, ask away,” Aeedah captioned her segment, to which a follower asked her what her “memorable moment this year and the worst,” was.

In response, Aeedah responded by saying, “Things to keep private: Everythiiiiiiiing. The best is obvious. The worst is something I’m yet to accept but God is never questioned. I don’t share my life in public but all I will say is don’t stop praying for me. The prayers keep me going. Maybe one day I will share.”

It, therefore, begs the question, what could this thing that God can’t be questioned about be?

We deduce below…

One of the most infamous incidents was when Aeedah Bambi was accused of engaging in an affair with her current husband, former Lamu senator Anwar Loitiptip, while he was still in a committed relationship with his previous partner, Saumu Mbuvi, the daughter to former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko Mbuvi.

Saumu and Aeedah used to be very close friends prior to this affair; and even as Aeedah crept behind Saumu’s back, she was warned about Anwar’s tendencies to become violent but would not listen.

Saumu broke up with Anwar in February 2021 after she accused him of being violent domestically and revealed that Bambi was in an affair with Anwar and stole him from her.

The two engaged in a low-key online spat where they shaded each other as Saumu indirectly told Aeedah that people should enjoy life because their days are numbered, and they should make them count.

In one of her responses, Aeedah posted on Instagram, saying, “The fact that you don’t like someone does not mean that they will suffer or not succeed! God is not from your village.”

Later, claims would emerge that Anwar also laid his hands on Aeedah just as he had been accused of doing the same with Saumu, as Aeedah spent time defending Anwar for being a good man and her best friend. Anwar was accused of beating Aeedah during a Bahati’s album launch party in June 2021, where she was allegedly caught flirting with another man.

She denied the rumours and went ahead to post ‘couple goals’ photos of herself with Anwar, now her husband.

And so, we wonder if Aeedah is getting the same treatment as Saumu in the past.
