Duale: I’m only scared of my wife, Uhuru, Ruto and Raila
National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale has said he only fears his wife, President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The fiery Member of Parliament made the revelation on Thursday as he threatened to name powerful individuals opposing the Mau Forest evictions.
While making his submission on a parliamentary report tabled before the House touching on the emotive Mau evictions, which the government is currently carrying out, the Garissa Township MP said he would not be intimidated into silence by individual’s hellbent on flattening hectares of the forested water catchment areas.
“I won’t be intimidated into silence Madam Speaker. If anything, the only people who can intimidate me, besides my wife and children, are President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga,” a tough talking Duale said.
DUALE’S THREATS
This is, however, not the first time the legislator has threatened to expose individuals implicated in various scandals without necessary making good his threats.
Last month, Duale promised to table the names of over 100 sugar barons involved in the illegal importation of the commodity in a weeks’ time. Duale’s promise never came to pass.
Back in 2015, following the horrific Al-Shabaab attack on Garissa University, which claimed 148 live, Duale similarly threatened to expose individuals funding the terror group. That promise, too, was never kept.
