Employee who leaked Jay Z video sacked
The hotel where Jay Z was attacked by Beyonce’s sister while in an elevator has fired the employee who leaked the video.
In a statement, the hotel’s spokesman Brian Phillips said the Standard hotel had identified the employee responsible for the breach of hotel security policies and recording the CCTV footage.
“The Standard has already terminated the employee and will now be pursing all available civil and criminal remedies” said Phillips.
In the statement, Phillips said the hotel will turn over its information to authorities.
The video that was posted by TMZ showed Solange Knowles confronting Jay Z as they entered an elevator.
Solange then attacked him prompting a man in their company said to be a bodyguard to intervene.
The three were said to have been attending a Met Ball after party after which the attack took place.
Beyonce has been sharing photos of her and Solange on her Instagram account ever since the video was published.
Solange performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 19, where Beyonce joined her on stage.
Beyonce and Jay Z recently announced their “On the Run” tour, which is scheduled to take them to 16 cities this summer.
