Eric Omondi bails out trader who was jailed for failing to pay Sh10,000 fine

Joyce Naserian the woman who was arrested by city askaris and jailed for a petty offence is now a free woman thanks to the intervention of Kenyans and comedian Eric Omondi.

Naserian was jailed at the Lang’ata Women Prison for failing to raise Sh10,000 fine after she was charged with loitering.

According to Omondi she was to spend three months in prison.

“We have released Joyce naserian from Langata Women Prison. She was to spend 3 months in Prison for a petty offence with a fine of only Ksh 10,000 she can now go back to her Children. We also Released Nicole. @bernicesaroni thank you for coming through and offering her a job. God bless. We also Release Naomi today,” Eric Omondi said.

Omondi shared a video of Niserian over the weekend where she narrated how she ended up being arrested by police.

According to Naserian she was out calling customers when the askaris arrested her and took her to central police station.
