Eric Omondi: ‘Fight’ with fiancée true but we have reconciled
Comedian Eric Omondi has exclusively revealed to Nairobi News the circumstance of the fight with his fiancée at a city restaurant which has caused a storm on social media.
In the fight, the comedian was filmed engaging in a public spat with his Italian-Kenyan fiancée Chantal Grazioli over airtime he had sent to an unidentified woman.
The spectacle ends with Chantal pouring a glass of liquid at the defenceless comedian and walking away.
The video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
But in a telephone interview, Eric Omondi explained to Nairobi News that the fight happened nine months ago and they have since reconciled.
“It was a misunderstanding that we had a very long time ago and I wonder why the person who had the video waited till now to show the video, given the fact that it happened in February,” he told Nairobi News on Tuesday.
He further explained that the unidentified woman he had sent airtime to is his cousin.
Omondi and Chantal have been engaged for more than year and were to solemnize their union in a much hyped wedding this year.
There has not been any word on an upcoming wedding from the two and from their circle of friends.
