EXCLUSIVE: Diamond on the need to protect his kids from public scrutiny


Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has explained why he doesnt tag along with his children to his concerts.

Speaking at Serena Hotel in Nairobi ahead of his performance at the Octobafest set for Ngong Racecourse, The popular Tanzanian singer told Nairobi News he is keen to protect his kids from the public.

He also explained that he prefers to have his children to concentrate on their studies at this time.

“I am a proud father and the most important thing is I am supporting my children. Currently, they are in school and it is just important to keep them off from such life,”

“It is also important to note that my children are very young and exposing them to such content early may just ruin their lives,” he explained.

Diamond has four children with different mothers.

He shares two children with Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan, one child with Tanzanian model Hamisa Mobetto, and Naseeb Junior with Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna

Diamond, who is featured in Young, Famous, and African reality shows, has insisted in past interviews that ‘he is a father of many’.

A few days ago, a video emerged showing Zari Hassan’s kids, Tiffah Dangote and Prince Nillan, bonding with their baby brother Naseeb Junior who is Tanasha Donna’s son.

In one of the interviews, he expressed his desire for peaceful relations with all her baby mamas and children.

“We have to share everything positive about people. We have to show love to everything and everyone who is in our lives.”

Diamond also reiterated his commitment to being present in his children’s lives, stating:

“I have time to bond with my children. I can fly with them, and there is nothing more important to me than my kids. My cars and houses are insignificant when I don’t have my kids around. They are my future.”
