Exclusive: Morris the Actor and Aleks Kamau’s perfect chemistry in ‘Faithless’
Morris Mwangi, widely known as Morris the Actor, and Aleks Kamau, who portrays the character of Cain in the popular series Faithless, have captivated audiences with their unique chemistry on the show.
Morris takes on the role of Jonah in the hit series, delivering a remarkable performance that showcases his immense talent and versatility as an actor.
As the son of Cain, the underworld kingpin within the Faithless universe, Jonah’s character arc becomes the focal point, influenced by the tragic loss of his best friend in the first episode.
In an interview with Nairobi News, Morris opened up about his personal background, sharing his experience without his biological father.
Reflecting on his portrayal of a son, he expressed the challenges he faced, particularly during physically and emotionally demanding scenes.
“The toughest scene was where things got physical and emotionally physically it was draining because that is when now, things turn. It was demanding. There is no scene that is easy even if you have one line. You still worry about it. The easiest scene is the one that you are not in,” Morris said.

Morris also shared how acting has allowed him to step into roles and positions that he hadn’t experienced in his own life.
He delved into the complex dynamics of his character, exploring the type of son he would have been and the relationship he would have had with his father.
“I got to imagine what type of a son I would have been and what type of relationship I would have had with my dad and in a way, I exploded. The audience will discover that he has his flaws but he has his best.”
The audience will discover Jonah’s flaws and strengths as the series unfolds.
The storyline of Faithless intricately follows the journey of four church members who unwittingly become entangled in a world of crime and violence.
