Exclusive: Mungai Eve speaks about her health struggles
YouTuber Mungai Eve has opened up about her struggles with gastritis that she has been dealing with since her school days.
Eve revealed that she has been grappling with gastritis since her days in class six. The condition tends to fluctuate in intensity, triggered at times by the food she consumes.
She acknowledged the difficulty of striking a balance between projecting happiness for her audience and coping with the discomfort of her ailment.
“Sometimes it gets worse, and sometimes it reduces. It is recurrent and I might be going through that period and people start spreading rumors that I am pregnant,” Eve said.
The popular content creator shared the challenges she faces, especially when maintaining a cheerful face in front of the camera while battling health issues.

“It is very uncomfortable, especially for people who do my job. People need to see you happy while doing those interviews. The down moments are when I am unwell and I need to show a happy face on camera,” she said.
Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach lining. Weaknesses or injury to the mucus-lined barrier that protects the stomach wall allows digestive juices to damage and inflame the stomach lining.
During the interview, Eve expressed her gratitude to comedian Eric Omondi for his unwavering support since her rise to public prominence.
She said Eric has been a steadfast figure in her life and is now an integral part of her family.

Eve added that she also aims to provide job opportunities for young individuals through her talents.
Presently, her team consists of around 11 individuals, a fact that fills her with pride and a sense of blessing.
“My dream is coming up with a big team that can create opportunities to other people. Currently we have employed like 11 people and that makes me feel good and blessed to have such a team in my back,” she said.
When it comes to her relationship with Director Trevor’s family, Eve explained that they are more reserved when it comes to social media.
Although she shares a strong bond with them, they prefer to maintain a lower online profile.
“They are the kind of family which is not so much into online things. It is easy to convince my mum and I record her, but it is not easy to convince his mum to record her and put them on social media. We have a good relationship, but they do not love being online. They are somehow reserved.”
