EXCLUSIVE: Yvette Obura: Why I added too much weight three years ago

Yvette Obura, the baby mama of famous Kenyan musician Kelvin ‘Bahati’ Kioko, has opened up on her weight loss journey.

In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News, Yvette said despite trying various diets and workouts, she couldn’t seem to shed the extra pounds she gained in 2022.

“I added around 8kgs. I didn’t like it since I add weight in all parts of my body,” she said.

However, a few weeks ago, Yvette decided to try something new. She started the intermittent fasting program, which involves alternating periods of eating with periods of fasting.

At first, she found it challenging to stick to the program.

She was used to eating whenever she felt hungry, and the thought of going without food for long periods of time was daunting.

But she persevered, and after just two months, she was amazed at the results as she had has lost a significant amount of weight and had never felt better.

Her fans were impressed by her transformation and wanted to know more about her weight loss journey.

She says the heaviest she has been was 90kg in 2019 after she used the wrong family planning method.

“At that time, I used the wrong family planning method according to my gynecologist, and that’s why I gained so much weight. But with the right diet and the intermittent fasting program, I’ve been able to lose the weight,” Yvette said.

She also shared her weight loss statistics and revealed that she was now only 5kg away from her goal weight of 75kg.

Yvette encouraged her fans to try the intermittent fasting program, but she also cautioned that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to achieve the desired results.

In addition to the intermittent fasting program, Yvette has also incorporated waist training into her weight loss routine.

She shared videos on her Instagram, showing her fans how to use the waist trainer for maximum effect.

Yvette’s weight loss journey has inspired many people, and she hopes to continue motivating others to lead healthy and active lifestyles.
