Ezra Momanyi loses cancer battle

Ezra Momanyi, a 23-year-old student at University of Nairobi, who has been the subject of an online fundraising campaign for treatment of Lymphoma Cancer has lost the battle to his ailment.

Ezra died on Saturday morning on the day a fundraiser was supposed to take place to consolidate funds to cater for his medication.

His friends appealed for help on social media to raise Sh 1million to have him treated saw the hashtag #GiveforEzra trending over the week as people raised funds for the young man.

Kenyans on Twitter and Facebook users shared their grief with the family following Ezra’s death.

On Facebook, Nyakundi Brian posted “Rest in peace you fought a good fight bro…?cancer#Cancer#…Till we meet again”
