Faces behind tourists’ robbery at Kengeles

Two Swedish tourists have appealed to the public to help them find a man and a woman who stole their red bag on Wednesday evening at Kengele’s Restaurant in Lavington Nairobi.

The bag contained a camera, passports and other belongings, according to Erik Esbjonsson, who was with them at the time of the incidence.

The two suspects were in the restaurant when the tourists walked in, but they didn’t have anything on their table.

MEMORY CARD

Ten minutes later the tourists noticed that the bag had disappeared and the two individuals were gone.

When they reported the matter to the manager, the management checked footage captured by surveillance cameras in the restaurant and saw the two suspects picking the bag and walking out.

“Everything in the bag can be replaced, but after spending more than two weeks touring Kenya you cannot replace the pictures we took. There were more than 600 pictures captured in the camera’s memory card,” Erik said.

The matter has been reported at Gigiri Police Station.
