First Lady: This is why you should vote for Uhuru

With the official campaign period coming to an end, Kenya’s First Lady Margaret Kenyatta has made a passionate appeal to Kenyans asking for votes on behalf of her husband President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The ever jovial First Lady also revealed that President Kenyatta “has a plan” to deliver 6.5 million new jobs if handed a second and final term in office.

She delivered this message via Facebook, on the Office of the First Lady Kenya page.

“I know you have experienced the impact of progress as Kenyans, as families and as a community. But we still face challenges, and there is more work to be done. That’s why Uhuru Kenyatta has a plan to deliver 6.5 million new jobs to lower the cost of living by continuing to invest in farms and markets, transport and trade. Better days lie ahead,” she wrote.

STRONG LEADER

While describing her husband as a “dedicated public servant” and a “strong leader”, the First Lady told her 160,000 followers “alot” has been done by President Kenyatta’s regime over the past four years to overcome many hurdles.”

Separately, the First Lady has been engaged in a countrywide campaign tour meant to popularize her husband’s re-election bid.

During these tours, she has strategically reached out to women, and urged them to vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

President Kenyatta will face off against main opposition leader Raila Odinga, alongside six other presidential candidates on Election Day on Tuesday.
