Flashy South Sudanese tycoon offers to bankroll varsity students’ body
Controversial South Sudanese tycoon Lawrence Lual Malong Yor Jnr has offered to fund the Kenya University Students’ Organisation (Kuso) activities.
Kenyans however want him arrested for alleged corruption in his conflict-ridden country.
Malong made the announcement on Tuesday at a Nairobi hotel accompanied by some Kuso members.
“I will stand with Kuso, and I will invest with Kuso. I will invest a lot of dollars in Kuso, said Malong.
He said he supports Kenyan youth and is looking forward to the day they will change the country.
Malong is famous for his flashy lifestyle that he routinely brags with on social media.
“My Lord Jesus Christ blessed me; I fly on private jets… I live in Presidential suites… I am blessed,” the 30-year old said in a previous media interview.
In a recent interview with Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange, Malong revealed that he was wearing designer shoes worth Sh1,000,000 ($10,000) and a Rolex watch worth Sh10,000,000 ($100,000).
After announcing his intentions to fund Kuso, Kenyans Online went ham on him and the Kuso officials for accepting his donations.
Others called on the directorate of Criminal Investigations to investigate the source of Malong’s wealth
This video says more about those surrounding him than it does about Lual Malong. Money isn't everything man! #TheProfiteers https://t.co/L8UTJF3GKv

What about KUSO? They definitely look more like sycophants and not leaders of tomorrow!

@DCI_Kenya @ImmigrationDept @ODPP_KE @UKenyatta @WilliamsRuto
+NSISYaani we have allowed foreigners to do whatever they want in this country ??, They plunder and destroy their own, then come for ours. If you can’t deal with it for our sake, do it for your children’s sake.

How did he access the students in the first place. Too much freedom is dangerous.

If we we’re in 1990s university students would have gone to the streets demanding deportation of those criminals.
