Former CJ Mutunga tweeted about bad internet service, corporates come calling
Former Chief Justice Dr Willy Mutunga on Thursday tweeted about changing his internet service provider and asked if he had made the right choice.
But as soon as he had fired off the tweet, three of Kenya’s biggest internet providers scrambled for his attention as they tried to outdo each other.
His tweet quickly turned into a marketing thread, but also attracted unhappy subscribers who complained to the internet providers about shoddy services.
I hope I have notmade a mistake in dumping ZUKU for Safaricom for better WiFi service. After paying Safaricom I am yet to be connected. Customer Care (072200271/2) has not helped me. Calling 400 and selecting 1 for home fiber inquiries ends with thanks for calling platinum. Shit!

Hi CJ, we have picked the issue and assure you that you have not made a mistake by joining us. We shall ensure that we get you connected as per discussion with you. Thank you for choosing Safaricom Home Fibre. ^SG

Many were also happy that at least they got their responses answered.
I guess this is the only tweet that has brought almost all internet provider competitors together. ???#twaweza, #zuku, #airtel, #telkom….

You are yet to refund my money after i left your service in October 2018. Bure kabisa! @Zuku_WeCare only if its kina Mutunga raising their voices. Nkt?

I’m now torn. Is @Zuku_WeCare better than @SafaricomPLC Home Fibre? I had Zuku but now have Home Fibre, but updating my phone’s software means I can’t stream anything. Zuku didn’t have this. I think I should take up their offer. I’m confused

Others were amused by how upset Dr Mutunga was and that he cursed.
Kumbe hata ma-Justice hu-fume na ku curse ? aki @Safaricom_Care sort his highness out.
